Brad Ackland
Jazz Vocalist and Classic American Crooner
Brad Ackland grew up on a wheat and sheep farm in Western Australia. As a boy he listened to Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Over the years his influences have grown to include Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Andy Williams, and Michael Bublé. He performs a wide array of songs from the American Songbook.
Although he learned musical instruments from a young age, including piano, clarinet and cello, he did not initially pursue a musical career. Instead Brad joined the military, first as a soldier, before becoming a commissioned officer. Throughout this Brad always kept alive his love for jazz music and standards by performing on the side at various postings.
After his service in the Australian military, Brad met his wife and moved to America. Living in Massachusetts, Brad would spend each of his Sundays performing for free at various nursing homes around town. In 2014 he started performing professionally and has not looked back.
Whether performing at a gala ball, an elegant wedding, or a 50th anniversary party, Brad brings a touch of class to any event. His polished appearance, great voice, and easy going charm is the winning trifecta of this Classic American Crooner…although he is not American!
