Mayflower Saints and Strangers
Celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the First Fall Harvest
OUR FEATURED SPEAKER

Cathy Bambenek
Texas Scholarship Chairman
Texas Society of Mayflower Descendants
Our speaker this month is a familiar face… Cathy Bambenek! Many of you know her as valuable, contributing member of NFGP since 2009 and activity coordinator of Happy Hiatus. But what you may not know is that Cathy is also a lively, creative speaker and had four Mayflower ancestors in her family.
After retiring as a chemistry and science research teacher, which Cathy did for 35 years, she realized she needed a new passion. Cathy decided to share what she discovered about her Mayflower ancestors with groups that have an interest in history. We are privileged at NFGP to have her speak with us on the 400th anniversary of her ancestors’ celebrating the fall harvest with the Wampanoag Native Americans. The presentation will focus on the saints and strangers on the Mayflower, and the toys that children played with in Plymouth. Cathy will also entertain us with adapted songs from Hamilton.
